My new pattern
First something about my new crochet pattern for those who missed it on social media. This new pattern is called: Daisy The Easter Bunny. She’s not your typical crocheted Easter bunny. I wanted something different and this is what I came up with:
This crochet pattern is available in English, Dutch, French and Spanish. Let me know if you need it in another language. I will then translate it and no extra cost of course.

That girl
There’s a new girl in my crochet class in school. She’s in third grade so still very young. She’s never seen anyone crochet. She’s never tried or learned it. So zero experience. But when I taught her to make a chain and the single crochet, that girl did both absolutely perfect from the beginning. I was stunned!!! She crochets so neatly and gets on with it as if she’s been crocheting for 50 years. Wow!!!!! I can only imagine what she will be able to create after a couple of years of crocheting. I’ll keep you posted about this little crochet wonder.
Stitch of the week
I found a really nice stitch!!! This one would be great for blankets, purses, bags, … The lady crochets a little fast, but you can change the playback speed of the video in the video settings. It’s such a beautiful stitch so definitely worth having a look at it.
**I don’t know the name of the stitch. Do you?
Tip of the week
Whenever I get a new crochet hook, I rub it with an old t-shirt. Sometimes new crochet hooks don’t slide well enough. For some reason rubbing it with a t-shirt helps. The reason I say old t-shirt is because some colored hooks would lose their color when rubbed with a t-shirt and you don’t want the color on your new t-shirt.

Als mijn haaknaald wat stroef gaat haal ik hem door mijn haren heen.
Wat leuk dat dat meisje al zo goed haken kan. Ben benieuwd naar wat zij allemaal gaat maken.

Goedemorgen Sofie, weer heerlijke nieuwsbrief op zondagochtend, ( mis een beetje je gekke leuke foto’s) Benieuwd naar de vorderingen van dat meisje. Hoop het mijn kleindochter ook eens te leren ze is net 5. Leuke steek dacht heel ingewikkeld maar lijkt me heel goed te doen. Nu ik het lees mijn moeder deed ook door haar haar halen van brei of haaknaalden.
Heel erg bedankt. Die steek blijkt gemakkelijk te zijn. En mooi ook. De kleindochter laten meekijken als je haakt. Dat is al een begin.

Ik ben ook benieuwd naar dat nieuwe meisje,sommigen zijn er vlug mee weg anderen niet ….ik zit soms te denken hoe ik het mijn kleindochters zou kunnen aanleren,beginnen ermee …ze zijn wel nog maar bijna 4 en 3 jaar …doe zo verder Sofie
Je kan het nu al tonen. Het is al een begin. Sommige zijn er inderdaad heel vlug mee weg. En andere sukkelen jaren.
Zoals altijd geweldige nieuwsbrief ook ik heb een trukje voor een stroeve haaknaald, haal ze eens boven door je haren en het gaat weer vanzelf.

Goedemorgen Sofie,dat is wel apart, dat het meisje al gelijk zo goed kan haken, wat een talentje. Dat met de haaknaald wist ik nog niet,wel in mijn haren wrijven, zo doe ik dat altijd. Fijne zondag en genietse.
Nu mijn tijd om te zeggen dat wist ik niet. Heb nog nooit mijn haar gebruikt. Moet dat zeker testen.
Dat meisje is een haakwonder. Ik zie haar ver raken.
