This crochet pattern is a FREE crochet pattern that I designed as a gift to all my fans and as a “thank you”.  Last year (2024) so many of you got my Bethlehem nativity set, Crafty Harlequin and my Gloriana Christmas Angel and I thought it would be nice to thank you for that with this free crochet pattern.

Size:

This doll is 28cm/11inch tall when made with the recommended DK yarn (Softfun by Scheepjes or 4ply Milk Cotton yarn). When made with «fingering» yarn (Catona, Catania, … yarn) he will be about 10-15% smaller.

Materials needed:

Yarn: DK weight yarn. I used 4ply milk cotton yarn and that yarn is exactly the same as Catona’s Softfun yarn. You will need these colors:

• Blue: 450-480m/ 495-535yd
• Dark blue: 40-70m/ 45-75yd
• Light blue: 100-130m/ 110-145yd
• Black: 20-40m/ 20-45yd
• White: 1 strand
• Pink: 40-70m/ 45-75yd

Crochet hook: 2.5mm

Other things you also need: stuffing, stitch markers, scissors, tapestry needle, dowel (or thick chopstick or whatever you usually use to make sure the head stays upright)

Abbreviations (US terms):

• Ch: chain
• Slst: slip stitch
• Sc: single crochet
• Hdc: half double crochet
• Dc: double crochet
• Inc: increase
• Dec: decrease
• MR: magic ring
• BLO: back loops only
• FLO: front loops only
• R: row

Extra info:

• The color needed for the row is mentioned at the beginning of the row. Is nothing is mentioned, then use the same color as the previous row
• The ch1 (or 2) from ch1 and turn does not count as a stitch
• Always crochet in both loops UNLESS STATED OTHERWISE
• The **1, **2, … at the end of some rows, tell you which pictures goes with that row
