Materials:

Yarn: light weight (3) yarn suitable for amigurumi and a size 2mm crochet hook in:

• white
• cream
• orange
• pink
• red
• light green
• green

Crochet hook: size 2mm

Stuffing – tapestry needle – stitch markers – scissors – cotton bud

Safety eyes: 6mm – 2pcs – black

Safety nose: 9mm – 1pc – pink

Abbreviations: (click on the stitch name to go to a tutorial about that stitch)

• Ch(s): chain(s)
• Sl st: slip stitch
• Sc: single crochet
• Hdc: half double crochet
• Dc: double crochet
• Inc: increase = make 2 single crochet in the same stitch
• Dec: decrease = work 2 stitches together with a single crochet

The color of yarn you are to use for your row is mentioned at the end of the row. When nothing is mentioned, use the same color as the previous row.

Work only in back or front loops when this is mentioned. When nothing is mentioned, work in both loops.

Pattern:

Eyes (make 2):

Row 1: 6sc in a magic ring with white

Row 2: 2hdc in each of the next 2 stitches then sc inc 4 times (12)

• Make 1sl st in the first stitch
• Yarn off but leave a tail
• Make the second eye the same way
• Put aside for later

Head:

Row 1: 6sc in a magic ring with orange

Row 2: inc in every stitch (12)

Row 3: *1sc, inc* repeat till end (18)

Row 4: *1sc, inc, 1sc* repeat till end (24)

Row 5: *3sc, inc* repeat till end (30)

Row 6-12: 1sc in each stitch (30)

Row 13: *3sc, dec* repeat till end (24)

Row 14: *1sc, dec, 1sc* repeat till end (18)

• Sew white eyes on head
• Insert nose and eyes

Row 15: *1sc, dec* repeat till end (12)

Row 16: dec 6 times (6)

Row 17-18: 1sc in each stitch (6)

Row 19: *1sc, inc* repeat till end (9)

Row 20: 1sc in each stitch (9)

Row 21: *1sc, inc, 1sc* repeat till end (12) with cream

Row 22: 1sc in each stitch (12)

Row 23: *3sc, inc* repeat till end (15)

Row 24: 1sc in each stitch (15) with red

Row 25: *2sc, inc, 2sc* repeat till end (18)

• Insert cotton bud into the neck and head

Row 28-33: 1sc in each stitch (18)

Row 34: *1sc, dec* repeat till end (12)

• Stuff now

Row 35: dec 6 times (6)

• Yarn off but leave a tail
• Use that tail to sew the opening in row 35 closed
