This star keychain is a versatile craft that can be made in a wide variety of colors to suit any preference. For a festive touch, you can create it in traditional Christmas colors and transform it into a beautiful Christmas tree ornament. Additionally, the pattern allows for flexibility in size—use thick yarn to create a large star, or opt for thin yarn to make a small, delicate version. The possibilities with this pattern are endless.
What’s even better is that a helpful YouTube tutorial is available to accompany this pattern. If you encounter any difficulties, simply refer to the video for a step-by-step guide to resolving any questions you may have.
**There is no download option for this crochet pattern. You can however, print it as you would print any other website page (no sharing the printed pattern of course and most definitely no selling it either 🤨). Because all devices to this differently, it would be an endless tutorial if I had to explain the printing for each device here. I therefore advice you to just google how you can print a website page on your device or look it up on YouTube.
**Any complaints about not having a download option will just simply be ignored. You do after all have the printing option and google and YouTube are excellent teacher on how to print 😊

PATTERN:
**If you use “ch2” at the beginning of a row, this ch2 does not count as a stitch
R1: with yellow: 6sc in a MR
R2: ch2, 2hdc in each stitch (12)
R3: with white: [2sc, inc] repeat (16)
R4: ch2, then [2hdc in stitch 1, ch2, skip next stitch] repeat (32)
R5: with yellow: [2sc, 3hdc in the stitch under your chain space] repeat (40)
- Cut the yarn
- Make a 2nd piece the same way but this time do not cut the yarn
- Instead place the 2 pieces on top of each other (right sides out) and crochet them together the following way:
R6: 8sc in the back piece, 8sc in the front piece (16)
- R7 is to be made in these 16 stitches only
- Crochet in continuous rows
- See this video if you don’t understand:
R7: [6sc, dec] repeat (14)
R8: [5sc, dec] repeat (12)
R9: [4sc, dec] repeat (10)
R10: [3sc, dec] repeat (8)
R11: [2sc, dec] repeat (6)
R12: [1sc, dec] repeat (4)
- Cut the yarn

- Repeat R6-12 in the next 8 stitches of the front piece and 8 stitches of the back piece
- Continue this until you have a total of 5 points on the star
- Watch the video for more information. In that video I show exactly what I mean. It’s far easier to show what I mean in a video, than to write it down in words 😊
