Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to commonly asked questions about my products and services.
How can I place an order?
To place an order, simply browse our website, select your desired items, and proceed to the checkout page. Follow the prompts to provide your payment information, and your order will be processed.
What payment methods do you accept?
I accept PayPal and credit/debit card payments. At checkout, you will have the option to choose your preferred payment method. Other payments methods are available this way:
1. My patterns are also available on Haked.nl where you can pay for them with: Bankcontact, Ideal, bank transfer, Sepa, KBC, Belfius, Apple Pay, credit card and debit card
2. My patterns are also available on Etsy where you can pay for them with: Credit card, debit card, Etsy gift card, Etsy credits, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Klarna, Ideal, Sofort
3. My patterns are also available on Ravelry where you can pay for them with: PayPal
4. My patterns are also available on Payhip where you can pay for them with: PayPal and credit card
On each product page on my Craftygenesindonesia, you will see under the “add to cart” button several tabs. Those include Haked, Etsy, Ravelry and Payhip tabs. When you click on the link in those tabs, it will take you to the very same pattern of mine on that particular website.
All 4 shops on Haked (Sofie Versluys section), Etsy, Ravelry, and Payhip, are my official shops = total legit and safe.
How long does sending take?
Since my patterns are all digital patterns, you will receive them via a download email. This download email comes as soon as your payment has been confirmed.
The same goes when you purchase my patterns on Haked.nl, Etsy, Ravelry and Payhip.
If you do happen to have a download issue, email me at craftygenesindonesia@gmail.com with your purchase information. As soon as I have confirmed your purchase, I will email you the pdf myself in a normal email.
In which languages are the patterns available?
As of now, they are all available in English, Dutch, French and Spanish.
Additional languages: many of my patterns are also already available in British English with UK terms, German, Italian and Portuguese. It is my goal to translate all my patterns to each of these additional languages.
If you purchased a pattern of mine and saw that the pattern you got is not yet in one of the additional languages yet, just email me at craftygenesindonesia@gmail.com and let me know you would like the pattern in one of those additional languages. I will then translate it for you free of charge.
Are there extra discounts?
Here on my website I give a 15% discount on purchases of 30€ or above. This discount will be automatically applied on the cart and checkout page so you do not need to request a coupon code or something like that.
Do you have fixed dates for sales?
No. I just simply get up in the morning and think “oh, perhaps a sale would be nice today”. That’s it goes. So check my website frequently if you want to make sure you do not miss any sales.
Am I allowed to contact you if I don’t understand something?
You sure can! Any time you don’t understand part of a pattern or have trouble with a purchase, you just email me at craftygenesindonesia@gmail.com and I’ll help you as soon as I see your message.
Can I call you by phone if I need help?
Sorry, that’s a no. For several reasons that is not an option:
1. I live in Indonesia = there is a big time difference between your location and mine and so it might be night here while it is daytime for you
2. I have hearing issues = I probably won’t hear half you say because of that.
3. Calling me from your country would be very costly for you
Can I post a review on a product page if I purchased elsewhere?
If you purchase one of my patterns in my shop on Etsy, Haked.nl, Ravelry or Payhip, you can still post a review on (the correct product page of) this website. That is not a problem at all.
You can of course also post a review on the site you bought the pattern on
How does customer of the week work?
Every week I choose a customer of the week. This person is then announced in both my Facebook groups:
1. Haken met Sofie’s Haakpatronen (Craftygenesindonesia)
2. Amigurumi Heaven (Craftygenesindonesia)
The winner then gets to choose 1 pattern of mine and will receive this for free from me, by email.
The winner is chosen from 1 of these groups of people:
1. Those who posted beautiful Facebook posts with a picture of something they made with a Craftygenesindonesia pattern and then received a lot of attention with this post + lead a lot of people to my shop.
2. Those who posted beautiful (5 star) reviews in my shops here or on Haked, Etsy, Payhip
When there are many to choose from, I pick one with my eyes closed to keep it fair.
A printed a pattern but pages are missing..
That can happen because of:
1. You had a poor internet connection while downloading the pattern
2. You opened the pdf before it was done downloading
3. Your printer is running out of ink
4. Your printer has faulty settings
5. Your printer has an error/is malfunctioning
Make sure none of these things happen and I’m sure the pdf will print just fine.
Can I use a different hook size?
Yes of course. You can use any size you like. Do keep in mind that when you use a bigger hook and thicker yarn, the end result will be bigger than mine. And when you use a smaller hook with thinner yarn, the end result will be smaller than mine.
I lost my pattern. Now what?
Just sent me an email at: craftygenesindonesia@gmail.com. Let me know which pattern it is and where you purchased it. I will also need a transaction ID or screenshot of the proof of purchase.
When the purchase has been verified (takes only minutes) I will send you the pattern by email.
Can I sell the finished item I made with the pattern?
Yes, you may sell the finished item but NOT THE PATTERN ITSELF of course.
Do keep the sales of the finished item to a small quantity (not thousands) and please do let people know where they can purchase the pattern if they wish to do so.
Do you still send newsletters?
No. Too many were ending up in spam and it was just simply too costly.
