In this tutorial I show you how to make the YARN UNDER single crochet. It’s basically the same as a ‘normal’ single crochet but you pull the yarn through UNDER the hook instead of over the hook.

Below here you’ll find the step by step pictures tutorial for the yarn under single crochet. If you are used to the ‘normal’ single crochet stitch, it may take a bit of practicing to get used to the yarn under version.
If you don’t already know how to make the half double crochet stitch, then I recommend learning this one. It’s a stitch that is used a lot. Especially when making blankets and handbags for example.
