Scallop Stitch Tutorial with 7 double crochet

In this crochet stitch tutorial I’ll be teaching you how to make the scallop stitch with 7 double crochet stitches. It’s an easy and simple stitch. A lot easier than it looks. I absolutely looooove using this one. I used it for my The Duchess, Fairy Edition crochet pattern. I think without the scallops, it just wouldn’t look as pretty. If you have a look at my Christmas lady crochet pattern, you’ll see that once again it just wouldn’t look as pretty without the scallops. So learning how to make this beautiful scallop stitch is definitely well worth the effort.

First up is my YouTube video about this stitch. You’ll see me making a 7 double crochet scallop stitch. Making the scallop crochet stitch wasn’t so difficult was it? If you know how to make a double crochet, then you know how to make a scallop stitch.

If you would like to learn another very pretty stitch, the star stitch is a nice one! It’s slightly more difficult than the scallop stitch, but so pretty that it is well worth the effort.
