Materials

Yarn: light weight (3) yarn suitable a size 2mm crochet hook in:

• red (or any color you want)

Crochet hook: 2mm

Stuffing – scissors – tapestry needle – stitch markers

1 keychain ring

Abbreviations: (click on the stitch name to go to a tutorial about that stitch)

• Ch(s): chain(s)
• Sc: single crochet
• Inc: increase = make 2 single crochet in the same stitch
• Dec: decrease = work 2 stitches together with a single crochet

The color of yarn you are to use for your row is mentioned at the end of the row. When nothing is mentioned, use the same color as the previous row.

Work only in back or front loops when this is mentioned. When nothing is mentioned, work in both loops.

*2sc, inc, 2sc* repeat till the end = 2sc, inc, 2sc, 2sc, inc, 2sc, 2sc, inc, 2sc, …

*3sc, inc* repeat till the end = 3sc, inc, 3sc, inc, 3sc, inc, 3sc, inc, …

Pattern:

Row 1: 6sc in a magic ring with red

Row 2: inc in every stitch (12)

Row 3: *1sc, inc* repeat till end (18)

Row 4-5: 1sc in every stitch (18)

• yarn off
• make another piece like that but DO NOT yarn off this time

6: 18sc in the second crochet piece and then 18sc in the first crochet piece (36) (see pictures below)

Row 7-9: 1sc in every stitch (36)

Row 10: 6sc, dec, 1sc, dec, 14sc, dec, 1sc, dec, 6sc (32)

Row 11: 5sc, dec, 1sc, dec, 12sc, dec, 1sc, dec, 5sc (28)

Row 12: 4sc, dec, 1sc, dec, 10sc, dec, 1sc, dec, 4sc (24)

Row 13: 1sc in every stitch (24)

Row 14: *1sc, dec, 1sc* repeat till end (18)

Row 15: *1sc, dec* repeat till end (12)

• stuff now

Row 16: *1sc, dec* repeat till end (8)

Row 17: *1sc, dec, 1sc* repeat till end (6)

Row 18: dec 3 times (3)

• yarn off
• attach a keychain ring to the top of the heart
